Kanyakumari Vivekananda Vidya Jyoti Convocation ceremony will be held on 25th by Vellimalai Hindu Dharma Vidya Peedham. Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Jayanti Rathayathanar, Vellimalai Hindu Dharma Vidya Peedam 24th Vidya Jyoti Convocation and Religion Class Student Conference will be held at Kanyakumari Vivekananda Kendra on 25th from 8 AM to 3 PM.
That morning at the Kanyakumari Swami Vivekananda beach temple at 8:00 am Swami Vivekananda will welcome the chariot, religious class students will be welcomed by monks and elders, at 8.15 am temple darshan and at 8.30 am Bhajan procession will go to the conference. Pavilion. Srimad Swami Gautama Nandaji Maharaj, head of Chennai Sri Ramakrishna Math, will preside over the program.
Kanyakumari Vivekananda Kendra Treasurer Hanumantharavji presides. Coimbatore Sri Rama Krishna Mission Secretary Srimad Swami Abhiramanandaji Maharaj will inaugurate the procession. At 9 am Vidya Jyoti will perform pada pooja for their parents and at 9.30 at Netangkodu Srisaradeshwari Ashram headmistress Sriyokeswari Meerapuri Mataji will conduct graduation ceremony from the 15th chapter of Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
At 10 p.m. Srimad Swami Kesava Nandajee Maharaj hoists the saffron flag at Pallapalayam Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Coimbatore. At 10.05 Mailadi SM. Matric Principal Rajendran hoisted the national flag. At 10.15 Dr. Gnanasaundari, Director of Indian Medical Center, Chennai and Director of Dr. Kumaraswamy Health Center, Kottaram Perumalpuram will light the candle.
Followed by Salute, Pledge of Allegiance, Welcome, Presentation of Degree and Shield by Srimad Swami Chaitanyananthaji Maharaj Vidya Jyoti President of Hindu Dharma Vidya Peedah. Srimad Swami Gautama Nandaji Maharaj, Head of Chennai Sri Rama Krishna Math, will deliver the convocation address, valedictory address, vote of thanks, artistic performances by students, distribution of prizes, unity anthem.
Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge to conference participants. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the conference. 5,000 people participate in the procession dressed as Vivekananda.
The competition to select religious class students for the art programs held at the conference pavilion will be held on the 11th at Vellimalai Ashram. The arrangements are being made by Vellimalai Hindu Dharma Vidya Peetha.
