     Sri Saradeswari Ashrama, A Branch Of Sri Vivekananda Ashrama, Is A Monastic Organization For Women Run By Nuns Or Sannyasinis. It Was Established In 1994 By Swami Madhuranandaji In Nettankode, A Village Eight Kilometres From Vellimalai.
     Located In Solitary And Lush Green Surroundings, The Ashram Provides A
Natural Atmosphere Conducive To A Calm And Quiet Life. It Has A Beautiful
Temple Dedicated To Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. Inside The Temple There Is
A Two And Three-Quarter Foot White Marble Image Of The Mother Installed In
The Centre. She Is Seated On A Full-Blown Lotus. Together With The Lotus The
Altar Is About Two Feet. There Are Separate Shrines For Sri Ramakrishna And
Swamiji On The Circumambulatory Path. Along The Path There Are Also
Photos Of The Monastic, Householder, And Women Disciples Of Sri
Ramakrishna

Activities

1. Puja: Daily Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Is Ritually Worshipped By A
Sannyasini. The Temple Is Open Between 5:00 A.M. And 12:00 Noon And
4:00 To 8:00 P.M. 

     Some Of The Main Services At The Temple Are:

5:00 A.M.—Mangala Arati
5:05 A.M.—Chanting And Reading From The Scriptures
7:30 A.M.—Puja
8:00 A.M.—Arati
10:30 A.M.—Chanting And Reading From The Scriptures
6:30 P.M.—Evening Arati
On Ekadasi Days Ramnam Bhajan Is Held After Evening Arati.
2. Spiritual Retreat: 3:00 To 5:30 P.M. On The Second Sunday Of Every
English Month.
3. Celebration: The Birthdays Of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy
Mother, And Swami Vivekananda Are Celebrated Together In February On
The Second Sunday.
4. Preaching: Sannyasinis Of This Ashrama Take Part In Religious
Functions And Give Talks. They Also Conduct Deepa Puja In Temples.
5. Service: In A Simple Way, The Following Service Activities Have Been
Started At The Ashrama.
I. Monetary Help For The Education Of Poor Girls.
Ii. Taking Care Of Helpless Old Women.
