The Vidyajyothi graduation ceremony was held yesterday on behalf of Vellimalai Hindudharma Vidya Peedham. Out of which 42 passed. Hindu Dharma Vidya Peedham is functioning with its headquarters at Vellimalai. Conducts religious classes in Tamil Nadu and neighboring states to create awareness among Hindus. In these classes, examinations are conducted at five levels namely Elementary, Junior, Senior, Senior and Senior.
Vidyajyothi Award is given every year to students who succeed in post graduation. This year’s 31st Vidyajyothi Convocation and 40th Religious Class Student Conference was held yesterday at Vellimalai Sri Vivekananda Ashram Swami Madhurananda Manimandapam. At 8 am a reception was given to the monks and elders at Vellimalai Sri Ramakrishna Temple.
Followed by temple darshan and Vellimalai Balasubramanya Swamy Temple Krivalam. Subsequently, Kesavananda Maharaj, President of Coimbatore Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, hoisted the saffron flag at the conference pavilion. Dr. Ram Chander of Vijayakumar Hospital hoisted the national flag. Vidyajyothi performed foot puja for their parents. The convocation ceremony was conducted by Shri Yogeshwari Meerapuri Mata, President of Srisaradeshwari Ashram, Netangode.
Traditional healer Maheshwari Duraisamy lit the lamp. Religion class student Gopisha sang Innisai. Hindu Dharma Vidya Peeda Organization Secretary Shivtmananda Maharaj read the report. Examination Commissioner Jaya Ramachandran recited the oath. District Organizer Ramachandran welcomed. Hindu Dharma Vidya Peeda President Chaidanyananda Maharaj presented the Vidyajyothi degree and shield. Kanyakumari Vivekananda Kendra Vice President Niveditabai delivered the convocation address.
Karur Sri Ramakrishna Thabovanam Chandra Shekarananda Maharaj gave Asyur. Vivekananda Kendra Krishnamurthy gave the welcome address. Kurundankodu union organizer Manokaran thanked. Students’ art performances were held. G.V. Engineers owner Rajan Gananathar and retired Prof. Ponnulingam presented the prize.
Hundreds of religious class students, teachers, parents, monks and public participated in the event.
